Location: Southern Valley Region; Province of Cusco
Population: 2,635 habitants
Land irrigated with contaminated water: 80%
No access to potable drinking water and electricity: 27%
Domestic Violence Prevalence: 33%
Alcoholism Prevalence: 59%

Data collected in 2010 as part of our base study by Marleni Palomino Buleje.

     Our comprehensive will services include:

  • Individual and group psychological counseling
  • Substance abuse prevention
  • Domestic violence prevention
  • Environmental & recycling awareness
  • Technology center with computers & Internet
  • A library with books & educational games
  • Literacy intervention for struggling readers
  • Assistance with homework for elementary school students
  • English classes for children and adults
  • Field trips to Inca historical sites and to cultural activities

       Established in the district of Saylla on June 4, 2010 in the municipality building.   

In collaboration with district mayor, Edwin David Cahuana K'una. 
Directed by Corazon de Dahlia, Inc. 501(c)3 non profit organization. Implemented by Association Civil, Corazon de Dahlia, our sister organization in Peru.
